*Please note our outpatient services may be conducted via telehealth depending on preference and your location.

A follow-up consultation is an opportunity to get any additional questions you may have answered and for us to gather the information we may need to best serve you. Once we have all the information we need, and you have decided you would like to proceed, we will coordinate with our clinical team and yourself to get you scheduled for your initial assessment session.

Once scheduled our admissions team will send you in-take paperwork to review and digitally sign prior to your first session. We also require a credit card to be held on file to secure your appointment.

If you are working with other treatment providers we may request your permission to consult and collaborate your care with them. Having their contact information on hand for your follow-up consultation can help expedite this process.

Below are some frequently asked questions about our outpatient services that you may find helpful.

Are your services covered by insurance?

Our outpatient services are considered out-of-network and can not be billed through your insurance. However, depending on your policy coverage, you may be eligible for reimbursement. We are happy to help you navigate your specific policy benefits.

    What are your rates?

Our rates for outpatient sessions are based on the location of our providers as well as their experience and licensure. They range from $175-$250+ with some sliding scale rates available.

    How long are the sessions?

Therapy sessions are 50 minutes and dietary sessions are 45 minutes. Depending on clinical recommendations we may want to schedule a longer initial session.

How soon can I schedule an appointment?

Starting services vary greatly depending on your needs and our provider's availability. However, in most cases, we can get you scheduled within 1-2 weeks of your initial inquiry.

Now, let's get you scheduled for your follow-up consultation.

  • Thank you for providing us with that information. We'd like to take this opportunity to provide you with a little more information about our Intensive Outpatient Programming admission process. Please take a moment to review before scheduling your follow-up consultation below.

    Admissions consultation

During your admission consultation call, we will provide an overview of our services, determine your needs, discuss Insurance coverage, and review the assessment process. Please allow 15-20 minutes for this call and have your insurance information available as well as contact information for any treatment providers you are currently working with. During this call, we’ll decide together on the next steps. Remember, you can always just give us a call to get the admissions process started.  Booking online is offered for those who prefer a dedicated scheduled time to discuss their needs and gather more information about our services.

    Medical Clearance

If you are seeking Intensive Outpatient treatment with Lotus, you will be required to obtain an initial medical clearance from your primary care doctor prior to scheduling an admissions assessment. As part of that process, clients with an eating disorder will be required to provide additional lab work and an EKG. We recommend scheduling this appointment as soon as possible. The medical clearance information is a critical component of the assessment process. We are not able to accurately assess your needs without it.

     Assessment

The assessment will be done virtually. Please allow 60-90 minutes for this appointment. It helps to have a record of your medical and behavioral health history and dates, providers, and any medications you are taking, available for the assessment. Upon completion of the assessment, you can expect to receive feedback and a recommendation about the level of care within 1-2 days. If admission to one of our programs is clinically recommended, and you decide to proceed, we will arrange for an admission date. On average, it takes 2-3 weeks between the initial inquiry and an official clinical recommendation depending on individual factors and availability.

We ask all clients to commit to a minimum of 30 days of uninterrupted treatment with us.  The length of stay in our programs varies greatly and depends on individual needs. On average clients are usually with us for 2-3 months.

Your treatment journey starts with the recognition that you need help. Congratulations on achieving that step!
