  • Welcome!  I'm eager to hear from you, but keep in mind that email does have significant limitations.  Therefore, for anything beyond the ordinary "Q&A" issue, you will be prompted to book an appointment.

    • During the semester, you can expect a turnaround time of twenty-four hours during the week (Monday-Friday).  Weekends may take longer.
    • During semester breaks, emails are reviewed during the first Tuesday of January, June, and August.  However, students enrolled in an upcoming course may expect a reply commensurate with the beginning of the upcoming semester (late January, or late August/early September).
    • Because university email systems often flag as spam those emails received from outside of their domains (and often automatically delete them), I strongly discourage using your university email address.  Instead, use either your personal one or one that you created especially for your course.

  • As policy dictates, this issue must be handled by appointment during the first week of the upcoming semester (fall, spring).

There are no exceptions to this policy - including contacting university personnel (deans, secretaries, faculty, etc.).

  • I took (am scheduled to take) Professor Rosenberg's     *      course at {institution} during the   *    *   semester.

  • We will send you some appointment times from which to choose.  It's important that you respond ASAP; otherwise, you may book an appointment with the professor during the first week of the upcoming semester (fall, spring).

    • Students from past semesters are not eligable for a Letter of Recommendation.

  • Please upload a scan (or picture) of your form using the upload box below.

    • Please note that only forms from the {institution} disabilities office are valid.  Materials from any other entity (secondary schools, doctors, etc.) must be submitted directly to the {institution} disabilities office.

  • Please forgive the boldness of the following ... but it's important!  ;)

Please make sure that you've entered your name exactly as it appears on the official course roster - Click the "Back" button to check.  Any deveations whatsoever from the roster (even a "Jim" if you're registered as "James") will result in denial of access.  Therefore, check your official record on your university's website (such as your course schedule) before submitting this request.

And please be aware that, as stated in the course syllabus and here, on the LMR.org website, technology issues (such as missed assigments or announcements) never excuse course policy.  So ... you might want to click the "back" button and double-check your name.

  • To cancel or reschedule your appointment, use the links in the confirmation emails.  You can make these modifications up to twenty-four hours before your appointment; otherwise, you are responsible for attending as no-shows will incur penalties as outlined in the Appointment Policy or the assignment (i.e. Editorials, etc.).

  • First, connect with a student in your course and get the lecture notes for those meetings that you missed.  Also, check the "Handouts" link on your course's website to see if there's anything there you need.  Then, schedule a meeting with Professor Rosenberg.

  • Upon your return, be sure to get the lecture notes from another student in the class - Professor Rosenberg is not your initial, go-to person; your fellow students are.

Keep in mind that while the general policy is that "make-ups" for any missed assignments are not permitted, you are strongly encouraged to book an appointment with Professor Rosenberg to discuss your issue.

  • Hi, {name}. Email is not a suitable way to handle your issue.  Instead, please click here to book an appointment with me so that we can discuss your issue together.

  • Be sure to check your spam folder.  If it's not there, you may have entered your email address incorrectly.  If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you will need that email - refer to the relevant appointment policy for complete information.

Here are some (but not all) of the common Zoom meeting links.

    • If you booked an Office Hour, click here at the time of your appointment.
    • If you booked an Editorial and you're in English Composition I, click here at the time of your appointment.
    • If you booked an Editorial and you're in English Composition II, click here at the time of your appointment.
  • That's great, {name}!  You can either click here to book an appointment with me, or, if your schedule doesn't work with mine, see me after class.  Either way, I look forward to seeing you soon.

    • If we're meeting after class and our class meets remotely (via Zoom), make sure to let me know at the beginning of the meeting that you'd like to see me afterwards - and not in the chat.
