HFLA is piloting a new program called ACCESS which is specifically designed to assist students from low to moderate income homes. This loan program will have relaxed loan application/guarantor requirements with the goal of providing young Jewish students greater access to a post-secondary education.
In order to qualify, your combined family income must fall within these ranges:

If your family has 2 members in it, the income threshold to be considered for this pilot program is $55,000

If your family has 3 members in it, the income threshold to be considered for this pilot program is 3 $60,000

If your family has 4 members in it, the income threshold to be considered for this pilot program is $82,000

If your family has 5 or more members in it, the income threshold to be considered for this pilot program is $90,000
If you are financially independent from your parents, the income threshold to be considered for this program is $32,000
Note: HFLA will be awarding two loans as part of the ACCESS pilot program in 2021. Applicants studying in British Columbia will be given priority consideration for this pilot program.
