Thank you for your interest in volunteering at The Kitty Campus. Please note:
- We have a 16-hour min commitment (training is included).
- Please be prepared to choose your weekly schedule when you speak to our Volunteer Coordinator. We require a commitment of 8 consecutive weeks and one shift per week.
- Students are responsible for bringing their necessary paperwork and having the shift supervisor sign off on the shift hours per shift.
- Please give us at least a 24-hour notice for a shift cancellation as we are caring for live kitties that count on us. Only one cancelation allowed.

This Release and Hold Harmless Agreement is executed by the above noted under the "Your Name" section, hereinafter referred to as “Releasor”.

Releasor specifically and expressly acknowledges that he or she will be acting as a SoBe Cats Spay & Neuter, Inc. and/or Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation volunteer for the City of Miami Beach Community Cat Programs, taking place in the City of Miami Beach, by performing various tasks such as community trapping and caring for community cats at the designated cat building located at 8128 Collins Ave, in the City of Miami Beach, Miami-Dade County, Florida (“The Kitty Campus”). The undersigned Releasor, on behalf of himself or herself, and on behalf of his or her personal representative, heirs, next-of-kin, assigns, servants and employees, holds harmless the City of Miami Beach, SoBe Cats Spay & Neuter, Inc. and Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation, its officers, employees, agents, and contractors, all hereinafter collectively referred to as “Releasee”, from any and all claims, actions, demands or damages, including but not limited to, accidents, injury, death or damages to his or her person or property, arising or resulting from his or her participation as a volunteer for the City of Miami Beach Community Cat Programs.

I understand that the activity of working with rescued animals is hazardous and involves contact with animals that may be unpredictable and City of Miami Beach, SoBe Cats Spay & Neuter, Inc. and Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation cannot be held liable for injuries or accidents that may occur as a result of working with the animals. I assume the risks of being bitten, scratched, injured or frightened by cats or kittens and any complications that may occur as a result, of my volunteer work.

Releasor expressly agrees that this Agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Florida and that, if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, not withstanding, continue in full legal force and affect.

Releasor further releases Releasee from any claim whatsoever on account of first aid, treatment, or services rendered to Releasor during his/her participation in the aforestated activities/event.

Releasor attest that he or she not experiencing any symptoms of illness such as a fever, cough, or shortness of breath. If Releasor develop these symptoms, her or she agrees that he or she will cancel their volunteer work before arriving at The Kitty Campus as far in advance as possible

Releasor is aware that he or she must follow the safety and hygiene protocols that have been implemented by The Kitty Campus and that are posted onsite for releasors review.

Releasor attests that:
·       He or she has not traveled internationally in the past 14 days
·       He or she has not traveled to a highly-impacted area within the United States in the past 14 days
·       He or she does not believe that they have been exposed to a person with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19
·       He or she has not been diagnosed with COVID-19 and not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities
·       He or she is following recommended guidelines as much as possible - practicing social distancing by participating in group activities of fewer than 10, wearing a mask, washing my hands, trying to maintain separation of six feet from others, and otherwise limiting my exposure to the coronavirus.

This Release contains the entire agreement between the parties hereto and the terms of this Release are contractual and not a mere recital.

RELEASOR FURTHER STATES THAT HE/SHE HAS CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT AND UNDERSTANDS ITS CONTENTS AND MEANING AND FULLY REALIZES THAT PARTICIPATING IN THE AFORESTATED ACTIVITIES MAY EXPOSE HIM OR HER TO DANGERS AND HAZARDS WHICH MAY ARISE IN CONNECTION WITH THE AFORESTATED ACTIVITIES AND SIGNS THIS RELEASE AS HIS/HER OWN FREE AND VOLUNTARY ACT.

Este Acuerdo de Liberación y Exención de Responsabilidad es ejecutado por la persona arriba mencionada en la sección "Su Nombre", de aquí en adelante referida como "Liberador".

El Liberador específica y expresamente reconoce que él o ella estará actuando como voluntario de SoBe Cats Spay & Neuter, Inc. y/o Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation para los Programas Comunitarios de Gatos de la Ciudad de Miami Beach, que tienen lugar en la Ciudad de Miami Beach, realizando varias tareas tales como atrapar y cuidar gatos de la comunidad en el edificio designado para gatos ubicado en 8128 Collins Ave, en la Ciudad de Miami Beach, Condado de Miami-Dade, Florida ("The Kitty Campus"). El Cesionario abajo firmante, en su propio nombre y en el de su representante personal, herederos, familiares, cesionarios, servidores y empleados, exime de responsabilidad a la Ciudad de Miami Beach, SoBe Cats Spay & Neuter, Inc. y Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation, sus oficiales, empleados, agentes, y contratistas, todos de aquí en adelante colectivamente referidos como "Liberado", de cualquier y todos los reclamos, acciones, demandas o daños, incluyendo pero no limitado a, accidentes, lesiones, muerte o daños a su persona o propiedad, que surjan o resulten de su participación como voluntario para los Programas Comunitarios de Gatos de la Ciudad de Miami Beach.

Entiendo que la actividad de trabajar con animales rescatados es peligrosa e involucra contacto con animales que pueden ser impredecibles y la Ciudad de Miami Beach, SoBe Cats Spay & Neuter, Inc. y Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation no pueden ser responsables por lesiones o accidentes que puedan ocurrir como resultado de trabajar con los animales. Asumo los riesgos de ser mordido, arañado, herido o asustado por gatos o gatitos y cualquier complicación que pueda ocurrir como resultado, de mi trabajo voluntario.

El Liberador acepta expresamente que este Acuerdo pretende ser tan amplio e inclusivo como lo permitan las leyes del Estado de Florida y que, si alguna parte del mismo se considera inválida, se acuerda que el resto, a pesar de ello, continuará en plena vigencia legal.

Asimismo, el exonerador exime al exonerado de cualquier reclamación por concepto de primeros auxilios, tratamiento o servicios prestados al exonerado durante su participación en las actividades/evento mencionados.

El eximido declara que no presenta síntomas de enfermedad tales como fiebre, tos o dificultad para respirar. En caso de presentar estos síntomas, el participante se compromete a cancelar su voluntariado antes de llegar a Kitty Campus con la mayor antelación posible.

El voluntario es consciente de que debe seguir los protocolos de seguridad e higiene que han sido implementados por The Kitty Campus y que están publicados en el sitio para la revisión de los voluntarios.

El liberador declara que:
- No ha viajado al extranjero en los últimos 14 días.
- No ha viajado a una zona altamente afectada de los Estados Unidos en los últimos 14 días.
- no cree haber estado expuesto a una persona con un caso confirmado o sospechoso de COVID-19
- No ha sido diagnosticado de COVID-19 y aún no ha sido declarado no contagioso por las autoridades de salud pública estatales o locales.
- Él o ella está siguiendo las directrices recomendadas en la medida de lo posible - practicando el distanciamiento social participando en actividades de grupo de menos de 10 personas, llevando una mascarilla, lavándome las manos, intentando mantener una separación de seis pies de los demás, y limitando de cualquier otra forma mi exposición al coronavirus.

Esta Liberación contiene el acuerdo entero entre las partes aquí y los términos de esta Liberación son contractuales y no un mero considerando.
