  • The Tribal Schools initiative allows WIU student teachers from any major to teach at three Tribal schools in Wisconsin to fulfill their student teaching requirements. The tribal schools who are part of the program are the Indian Community School of Milwaukee, Menominee Tribal School of Neopit and the Oneida Nation School of the Green Bay area. Applicants for this program must be eligible and planning to student teach in the Spring of 2023. If you have completed all your requirements and documentation for SPRING 2023 STUDENT TEACHING, you can proceed with this application. If you are not eligible for Spring 2023 student teaching and are still interested in this opportunity, please contact Lisa Litchfield, the Coordinator of University Field and Clinical Experiences, at la-litchfield@wiu.edu for information on future Tribal Schools Initiative placements. For more information about the program and the tribal schools, please visit WIU's Tribal School Student Teaching initiative website.

All applications are due by Monday, October 3, 2022.
