NO OPEN BURNING DURING THE MONTHS OF MARCH, APRIL, MAY, OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER. BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 6:00AM - 6:00PM PER THE STATE OF OHIO
The Following Conditions apply to the permit holder in accordance with the Ohio Fire Code Section 307, EPA section 3745 and open burn guidelines set forth by Franklin Township Fire & EMS Department:
1.Only Wood and/or brush are to be burned. (No rubber, trash, plastic, or other waste) 2.All permits shall be requested by and issued to the landowner upon which the fire id to be kindled. (OFC 307.2) 3. Fire must be located a minimum of fifty Fire (50) feet from the nearest structure. 4. Fire must be located a minimum of one hundred (100) from any uninhabited structure or power line. 5.Fire must be located a minimum of one thousand (1000) feet from any inhabited structure located on a neighboring property. (Storm Debris Conditions) EPA appendix 6.Open burning is not permitted within 1000 (1000) feet of The Village of Felicity. 7.No accelerant shall be used to start fire. 8.Do not burn when the following applies: high winds, temperature inversions, air stagnation, smog alert, or dry conditions. (EPA 3745-19-03) 9.Fire must be attended by an adult at all times. (OFC 307.5) 10. Call fire department immediately if fire gets out of control. Dial emergency 911 11. Fire must be extinguished immediately if smoke becomes objectionable to neighbors or if it becomes a hazard to passing motorists. (OFC 307.1.1) 12. Burning is only permitted during daylight hours except for recreational fire. 13. Franklin Township Fire & EMS reserves the right to extinguish or order extinguishment of any fire at any time. (OFC 307.3 14. The property owner/permit holder is responsible for securing any additional environmental protection agency (EPA) or other applicable permits. 15. Permit holder is liable for all damage caused by uncontrolled fire
