  • The 1:1 Diet comes with a you-shaped weight loss Plan, your very own personal diet Consultant and all the delicious, nutritious meals you need to succeed. Plus, we can now provide video chat weigh-ins and delivery direct to your door!

    Unlike other diets, The 1:1 Diet is unique in providing one-to-one Consultant-led support. We choose your Plan, then inspire and support you throughout your entire journey. So stick to your Plan, enjoy your tasty meal replacements, and you'll soon start to see the results!

    Each Step has been tailored to help you reach your goals. You will work with me to adapt the Plan so it fits in with your life. There are 6 Steps, but they're not linear, so you can dance through them, or step past them! I can set individual goals and make it personalised to suit you, whilst remaining nutritionally complete to keep you balanced.

    This Step will help you lose weight quickly, safely and effectively. If you choose this Step, you replace all your everyday food with our nutritionally complete meal replacement products - there's a huge range to choose from. There's no meal planning or visits to the supermarket needed - just pick three or four products per day and off you go!

    Step 2
    Enjoy three products a day as well as a healthy protein and vegetable-based meal. You can plan this meal yourself or with my help. You could also choose from our range of yummy Step Up Meals.

    Step 3
    There's even more flexibility here - choose two products as well as a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner! For some recipe inspiration, check out The 1:1 Diet blog, social media recipe sharing pages or speak to me for more ideas!

    Step 4
    If you're active (with a busy life, hectic job or you're a gym bunny) then a few more calories might be just what you need. Here you'll continue to have a couple of products, your lunch and dinner, plus an additional snack! We've got a tasty snack range you can try. I will continue to support you, to help you keep on track.

    Step 5
    This Step is super important - it'll teach you portion control and how to make the right food choices to help maintain your weight. You'll continue to cook your food in a healthy way whilst still having one of our delicious products during the day.

    Step 6
    This Step is all about maintenance. I will still be there with you, even with your new healthy and active lifestyle. You may need a pep talk every now and again, and a reminder of how far you've come and how brilliant you are! It's always a good idea to keep a product on you, a bar in your bag or a pack of bites in your drawer so you always have something to hand.

    BMI is just one very simple way of calculating if you are at a healthy weight. However in reality, there are lots of variables that can change whether you are healthy at various BMI readings. This calculation is used by the NHS to determine if they deem you to be within a healthy weight range.

  • Getting Through Your First Week On Plan

    Your first week can be a difficult transition to any new regime. Try these tips to make it a bit easier.
  • Set yourself exact times to have your products / meals. If you're struggling to make your daily allowance last, tell yourself you can only have your products at set times, e.g. 9am, 1pm, 4pm & 8pm. If you're hungry before product time comes around, fill up on water, or a nice hot cup of tea, coffee or Golden Vegetable mix.

    If you prefer to eat in smaller meals, you can halve your products. Bars & bites are easy to graze on, but you can also make up half a shake, soup or any other product at a time.

    This way, instead of having only 3 or 4 meals a day, you can have six or eight small meals. If you want to split any sachet products, measure out half the sachet each time and mix with half the amount of water.

    If you like a bit more flavour with your products, you can add anything (except salt!) to your products or meals. So, whether they be dried or fresh, think about incorporating chilli flakes, black pepper, chives, oregano, worcester sauce, balsamic vinegar, curry powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, thyme, lemon juice.... anything calorie and salt free. 

    (Our salt intake is something we should all be trying to limit, and it also causes the body to retain water, so it's an all round no-no for slimmers like us!)

    You can use the Mix A Mousse powder and water flavourings to make jelly sweets to nibble when you've used up all your products. These all count towards your water intake for the day and can be consumed on top of your daily products.

    Use the Mix A Mousse to turn your milkshake into an 'Angel Delight' mousse for a tasty dessert.

    *

    Make sure you're getting enough calorie-free fluid. Our Plan recommends a minimum of 2.25ltrs per day, but our needs are very individual. I usually suggest my slimmers aim for 3 ltrs per day.

    You can make this up from still or sparkling water, our water flavourings, black tea and coffee, fruit and herbal teas. You can add a slice of lemon or some mint for flavour. You can add tablet sweetener to your drinks if you like, but steer clear of powder sweetener. If you are on a Step with a calorie allowance you can add milk to your hot drinks and even enjoy the occasional diet fizzy drink.

    Combine and mix products to make variety. There are all sorts of options, you can find some ideas below.

    Try to spend some time on activities that completely distract you, and ideally give you something to keep your hands busy. Whether that's reading, craft, playing an instrument, or housework, do whatever keeps you busy between products.

    Use the social media links below to get some inspiration from other slimmers already on plan. You will see loads of success stories, and probably meet quite a few people just starting their journey, just like you. Reach out to them, it makes all the difference to surround yourself with like-minded people.

    No question is too daft! Your first few days will be a bit of a shock to the system. Your body will need a bit of time to adjust, whichever Step you start on. Just pace yourself, take things slowly and don't put too much pressure on yourself. Don't do any new strenuous exercise regimes for the first couple of weeks, just take a nice gentle walk if you need to get out and about.

    Once your body has worked through the first 4-5 days, you should find signs of hunger will gradually subside, and over the next couple of weeks your thoughts will turn to food less and less. Due to the good level of hydration and the intake of vitamins and minerals in the products you will be getting every day, you should find that your energy levels increase, you feel much more awake and motivated to get up in the morning! Those horrible feelings of lethargy and bloatedness you get from a carb-heavy diet will soon be a distant memory!

    Just one day off the plan can take four whole days to put right! That means you would have to go through the first few days and all those horrible bloated feelings again just for that one day off track. Try your best to stick to it 100%.     Did you know you can make your shakes hot or cold? Why not make a comforting hot shake with not-quite-boiling water, or use less water and lots of icecubes to make a thick and creamy icecream?!

    Here's just a few ideas for you...

    It makes a delicious cup-a-soup with hot water to sip on those cold days, without using one of your products! This can also help to ease a mild headache on your first few days on the diet.

    You can use it to make a stock to use with your healthy home-cooked meals!

    You can add a pinch of it to any of our savoury products to add bit more punch to the flavour, too! This is definitely a cupboard staple for everyone!
