Please only use snowshoes for walking on powder or packed snow, as they can become damaged or break if used elsewhere. Avoid walking across logs, rocks, etc.

Deposit and Acknowledgement

I, the borrower, agree that at pick-up a $20 damage deposit will be required for each pair of snowshoes/trekking poles borrowed, which will be fully returned at drop-off. In the event that the equipment has been damaged or lost, the borrower will be liable for up to and including the full replacement cost of the lost/damaged equipment.

Voluntary Assumption of Risk & Waiver of Liability

Participants are urged to consult with a health care practicioner prior to participating in excercise programs. Participating in recreational activity programs presents various elements of risk. The risk of an accident resulting from such activities may occur and cause injury. These accidents result from the nature of the activity and can occur without any fault on either the part of the Tiger Hills Recreation District or its emplyees, agents or representatives. By choosing to participate in the activity, participants voluntarily assume the risk of an accident occurring.

In considering of the Tiger Hills Recreation District allowing me to participate in their Snowshoe/Trekking Pole Loan Program and permitting my use of their equipment, I, my child and/or legal guardian agree that, by signing this waiver and agreeing to the terms and conditions set out in it, I agree to release, forever discharge, waive, save harmless, defend, protect and keep idemnified the Tiger Hills Recreation District and all of its respective agents, employees and representatives from and against any and all kinds of action, claims, costs, expenses and demands in repect of death, injury, loss or damage, to my person or property or persons who might claim through me, however caused, including any negligence on the part of the Tiger Hills Recreation District, arising out being permitted to participate in the Tiger Hills Recreation District Snowshoe/Trekking Pole Loan Program.
