Sacramental Preparation Program for Confirmation
St. Wilfrid’s Roman Catholic Church
School Year 2020-2021
Dear Parents of Grade 7/8 Students,
It’s been a year now that Covid-19 pandemic affected the operations of businesses, schools as well as parishes all over the world. It is a very challenging time and I hope that we are all coping properly despite the trials we are facing during this time of pandemic.
Due to continued restrictions on people gathering whether for social or educational purposes, the St. Wilfrid’s Parish will conduct this year’s Sacramental Preparation Program via online learning for Grade 7/8 students rather than the traditional in-class learning at the church. If you desire your child to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this school year, you must register your child to the program.
Below is the registration form. Kindly fill-up and submit it. The deadline to submit the form is on February 17, 2021.
Our first online meeting will be on February 20. This session is for briefing/orientation for parents and students regarding the program to discuss the schedule of classes as well as program requirements. We will send you an invite to join the orientation session. It is important that you provide the email address to be used for google class as indicated in the registration form. This is the email that we will use to allow your child to join the online class.
As an overview, the class will be every Saturday from 2pm to 3:30pm. There will be a total of 10 classes staring February 27 until May 15, 2021. The dates for your child’s Reconciliation/Confession as well as the Confirmation ceremony will be advised later when there are no more restrictions and that churches will be open again for public masses and sacramental ceremonies.
More information about the program as well as detailed schedule of classes will be given during orientation. If you have any questions, please contact the parish at (416) 638-0313.
Yours in Christ,
Gloria Publico/Vernice Tolentino, Confirmation Co-ordinators
Father Paolos Beraki, Pastor, St. Wilfrid’s Parish
