Taylor Beck Tattoo Proposal Form Logo
  • Taylor Beck Tattoo Appointment Request

  •      Thank you for your interest in getting tattooed! I am focusing on medium and large scale custom work that develops my portfolio and suites the aesthetic I have curated on my Instagram feed. I will always make time to consider each proposal received, but at the moment am not able to take on every tattoo that is asked of me.

I am currently working out of a private studio in West Greenville. The evening before your scheduled date, I will get in touch to confirm your appointment and provide the exact address, but for reference it is a two minute drive from Hampton Station and Swamp Rabbit Cafe.

Rates average about $150/hour, but size, placement, number of colors used, and design complexity are all factors in determining the cost of your tattoo. Palm sized, black only flash designs are typically in the $120 - $250 range and custom work is typically $300 - $600. As of April 2024, I am only accepting cash payment. All appointments require a non-refundable $50 deposit via Zelle, which will be deducted from the quoted cost of the tattoo on the day of your appointment. Spots are first come/ first served so please be prepared to submit this deposit promptly after I contact you in order to secure your appointment.

Your deposit will cover ONE reschedule if the need arises, so long as 24 hours notice is provided. Multiple short notice cancellations or reschedules will require another deposit to secure your appointment.

Please eat a hearty breakfast or lunch before your appointment, tattooing is hard on the body and burns a lot of calories. Getting tattooed on an empty stomach can cause fainting and severely impairs pain tolerance.

Do not shave or use any numbing creams, lotions, fragrances, or skincare products on the area to be tattooed beforehand. These can change the texture of your skin and affects how well your body will retain pigment, no need to prep or anything like that just come as you are!

Wear dark, loose fitting clothing that doesn't constrict the area. I try to minimize clothes getting ink stained but there's only so much I can do if you arrive in a white cashmere sweater.

I try to make it as easy and comfortable an experience as possible; There will be snacks and water on hand and the space is decorated with lots of stuff to look at and books to flip through. Earbuds are totally fine too if that helps you zone out, I usually have some chill music going but feel free to make requests!

I think that about covers it, there is a space below for any additional questions you may have if I've failed to address anything here. Big thanks again for your interest in working with me, looking forward to making some cool tattoos with ya!

  • A little bit about me, should you care to read:

My name's Taylor (he/him). I've been tattooing since 2018, having completed a proper two year apprenticeship in upstate South Carolina. I've worked in both street shop and private studio settings in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.

Growing up on the sea islands of the Lowcountry has given me a lifelong affinity for the offbeat and macabre, and I believe that shows in my work. I offer a large catalog of flash designs and reference material for your consideration. Bold, traditionally oriented tattoos will always have my heart, but lately I am leaning into a more nuanced, illustrative style focusing on textures and line variety.

When tattooing, I emphasize client comfort and working quickly and efficiently. Developing relationships with folks I tattoo is important to me, and I do my best to bring a good experience all around. As a cis white man doing traditional-ish tattoos, I believe it's especially important to acknowledge the problematic aspects of tattoo culture both past and present, and bringing something different to the table is at the front of my mind during every appointment. MY STUDIO IS A SAFE SPACE, I am absolutey intolerant of bigotry or hatred.

I have a keen interest in the technical aspects of tattooing, and while I definitely have a preferred creative style to work in, for me tattooing is more of a skilled trade than art. I use a wide range of machines and equipment and feel the need to be in tune with my tools to produce the best, most long lived work.
