Year 3: GP3 - (Cardiology, Respiratory, Haematology, Renal, Endocine Surgery, GI & Cancer in a GP Context) Please note: Students will attend in groups of 4, attending face to face teaching in practice. If COVID social distancing measures are still in place, we will revert to the previous model of 2 students attending the practice on alternate weeks with a joint virtual tutorial. (16 sessions for 4 students for Term 1, 20 sessions for 4 students for Term 2 and 18 sessions for 4 students for Term 3)
Year 3: GPCD (General Practice Community Diagnosis) GP tutors will support students through online small group tutorials, to complete their GP community diagnosis project. In this project students examine their local public health data to focus on a health or social need for their community, and gather further qualitative, quantitative and observational data to explore how this could be better addressed. GP tutors should be enthusiastic in teaching about health inequalities and the social and environmental determinants of health. The tutorials will take place online on Monday and Friday afternoons with group of 6 students each week (2 sessions for 6 students= standard sessional rate)
