• Hollander Social Justice Fellow Application

    Due Monday, March 15, 2021
  • Summer Institute will be July 25 - August 8, 2021.

Apply for the Hollander Social Justice Fellowship! You’ll engage the community in social justice programming throughout the two weeks of online programming, from July 25th through August 8th, 2021. Fellows will receive a scholarship for Institute tuition and up to $100 for materials or preparation.
  • The Purpose of the Hollander Social Justice Fellowship

We are a progressive community that is eager to work together and in our home communities for justice and liberation for all and for the tikkun/repair of our society and planet. The Hollander Social Justice Fellowship was created to build leadership and learning in the NHC community about social justice issues, and support our community to take real-world action.

The Fellow(s) will design and facilitate programming with three, inter-related aims:

    • Engage the NHC’s community in learning about a contemporary social issue and avenues to pursue change.
    • Create an opportunity to plan or take action during the two weeks of the on-line Summer Institute.
    • Catalyze lasting impact after the Summer Institute by, for example, engaging interested people in follow-up activities, informing NHC policies or practices, or activating a network of havurot or local community groups.
  • The Format of the Project

Fellows will be expected to contribute 3-4 hours of programming during the two weeks of the online Institute.  The programming should be accessible to the entire NHC community and encourage a broad range of participation from different age groups, backgrounds, and experiences.  Once selected, the Fellow will work with the planning committee to align the programming with the rest of the Institute activities.

Fellows will have an opportunity to have a permanent online display space throughout the Institute to share the project and additional information with the wider NHC community.
