• Request for Presentation Proposals

  • The New York State Food Summit, hosted by The Food Pantries for the Capital District, will take place on June 2, 2021, as a virtual conference on the Socio Virtual Event platform. The summit aims to bring together food assistance providers and stakeholders in order to share best practices, research, and innovations in hunger relief efforts.

    A special thank you to our Food Summit partners: Siena College, United Way of the Greater Capital Region, Hunger Solutions New York, Feeding New York State, and our New York State Community Food Assistance Network members; Rockland Community Against Hunger, Comfort Food Community, Concerned for the Hungry, Hunger Coalition of Otsego County, Hunger Action Network of New York, Broome County Council of ChurchesCHOW, and Westside Campaign Against Hunger.

     

    This is a request for presentation proposals for the following:

    • FED Talks, like TED talks but with their primary focus being food issues. The FED talks must be between 6-8 minutes and will take place between 10:15 am and 11:15 am. We will be accepting five FED talk presentations during our 2021 Food Summit.

    • Workshops, a 50 -minute-long interactive presentation.   Workshop presentations will be held in the afternoon and will start on the hour at 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm.


    Presentation Proposals are due by March 14, 2021.
