You can use this form to purchase a blood test that is carried out by a Nationwide centre and not from our Clinic.
This is only to be used if you are unable to attend the Midland Skin in Birmingham for your blood test and if you have been advised by us that this is suitable for your care.
Where will I have to go for my blood test?
Blood samples are collected by Nationwide Pathology, which operates more than 150 phlebotomy clinics across the UK.
Before you purchase a test, please call Nationwide Pathology on 01858 571 322 to:
- confirm the clinic closest to you
- check appointment availability
- obtain the phlebotomy and specimen‑handling fees you will pay them directly
What happens after I purchase a blood test?
Once your order with Midland Skin Ltd has been verified, we will email you authorisation to book your appointment with Nationwide Pathology. Only after you receive this email should you telephone Nationwide Pathology (01858 571 322) to schedule your blood draw. You will be required to pay Nationwide Pathology for the phlebotomy and handling fees when you make your appointment. Do not contact Nationwide for a blood test appointment until you have received an email from us.
Fees
You will pay two separate charges:
- Midland Skin Ltd: laboratory analysis and interpretation of your results
Nationwide Pathology (paid below)
- Nationwide Pathology fees are for phlebotomy (blood draw) and any specimen‑handling procedures, such as centrifugation and paid directy to them when you book your appointment.
Time frames
We are aware it can take up to 2 weeks to obtain a blood test appointment with Nationwide. It can also take 3-4 working days before results are distributed to us. You should plan to book and have your blood test in good time if you require results to be available for a future appointment. As Nationwide is a third party service provider, we have no control over this. This is not an emergency service.
After your blood test
