Family medicine leading within health systems during COVID
We are looking for stories/case studies that showcase the impact family medicine leaders (at all levels) had/are having on and in health systems during COVID. We’re especially interested in stories where leadership went beyond family medicine departments and potentially led to health systems’ leaders placing a higher value on or changing their thinking about family medicine. A selection of submissions will be published on the STFM website and may be incorporated into other outreach efforts.
Describe what you (defined as you or your faculty/department/program/clinic) did that demonstrated that family physicians are leaders in health systems.
How did you communicate with health systems leaders during the process?
What type of feedback have you received about your efforts?
What type of impact do you think this will have on your health systems leaders’ perception of family medicine?
What advice would you give to other family physicians or family medicine faculty about helping health systems leaders see the value of family medicine?
