IMPORTANT TOWNHALL MEETINGS

Bering Memorial United Methodist Church (BERING) has the opportunity to be FREE AT LAST from the ongoing harm being done to its membership and the greater LGBTQAI+ community by the United Methodist Church (UMC). The Administrative Council of Bering and the Bering Discernment Leadership Team have made the recommendation that Bering should begin the process of departing the UMC to join the fully inclusive United Church of Christ (UCC) and stop the harm. That process begins with YOU, the membership and faithful constituents of the community that is Bering. Please sign up for one of the zoom townhall meetings listed below so that Pastor Diane and members of the Administrative Council and Leadership Discernment can share the details of this recommendation and the steps involved, answer your questions and obtain your feedback. We will eventually need your vote, so if you are not an official member of Bering but want to participate in that vote, you will need to do that as well. Townhalls will be limited to 14 participants, including leadership, so that everyone has the opportunity to be heard.
