    From time to time we ask our tenants to routinely conduct a self-property check to help us ensure that properties are being maintained and cared for. We would be grateful if you would complete this check at your earliest convenience. AFFINITY are committed to keeping you, your families and our properties safe.
  • Fire Safety

    Please refer to fire safety in the home leaflet featured in your Affinity H&S manual should you require further guidance
  • Please confirm that your smoke alarms are all working in the property.*
  • Please confirm that you have a working C02 detector in the property within a meter of the boiler (if applicable).*
  • Please confirm that you have a mini fire extinguisher in the kitchen and a fire blanket attached to the kitchen wall*
  • In the event of a fire, do you know how to safely vacate the property and raise the fire brigade?*
  • If you live in a block of flats, do you know the fire safety policy of the building?*
  • If you live in a block of flats, does your front flat door slam all the way shut behind you and have a fire seal to the edge?*
  • Please confirm you are not overloading your electrical sockets or using multiple extension leads*
  • Water Leaks

    Leaks aren’t always easy to identify but can do a lot of damage. Please check everything is in order as per our list below

    If your property is suffering from damp & mould growth it is important that you keep on top of it and follow the instructions in the leaflet in the Affinity Health & Safety Manual
