Dear Potential Applicant:

Epsilon Chi Omega is proud to provide financial assistance to two graduating seniors who will attend an accredited college or university. The amount of each scholarship is five hundred dollars ($500) payable to the student upon receipt of the student’s official verification of enrollment and official transcript.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is the oldest Greek-letter organization established by African American college-trained women. It was founded in 1908 at Howard University in Washington, DC. Since its founding over a century ago, Alpha Kappa Alpha’s mission has been to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards. Scholarship Information

ECO 2022
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated will award $500 scholarships. It will provide financial assistance to two graduating high school seniors. The scholarship ($500) will be payable to the student upon receipt of the student's official verification of enrollment and official transcript.

ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior African American male or female, who is a resident of South Carolina.
- Applicant must be a United States citizen.
- Applicant has been accepted to enroll in an accredited college or university for the fall of the 2022 academic year in or out of the state.
- Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Applicant must have an SAT score 900 or higher; ACT score 18 or higher. (waived for 2022)
- Applicant must have documented evidence of leadership in school, church, and/or volunteer community service.
REQUIRED APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
- Completed Application Form.
- A letter of acceptance from an accredited college or university you plan to attend.
- Upload official high school transcript or college/university transcript on or after January 2022.
- Uploaded Copy of SAT/ACT scores. (Waived for 2022)
- Upload Two letters of recommendation submitted by persons other than relatives: One must be from a guidance counselor/college advisor or school faculty member and the other from an organization representative for community/volunteer service.
- Upload Documented evidence of leadership in school, church, and/or volunteer community service. Documented service could be a reference letter, a certificate, pictures, etc.
- Upload An essay with a minimum of 500 words (typed, double spaced, and 12-point font). Please use a cover page for your essay, do not write your name on the essay. The review committee would like the authors of the essay anonymous to ensure integrity throughout the review process.
