JEFFREY HOFFMAN
Mr. Jeffrey Hoffman joined the Park City Credit Union Board of Directors in 2015. Jeff has served as Nominating Committee Chair, and is now on the Asset/Liability (ALCO) committee, Audit committee and Credit committee.
Jeff was born in Antigo, Wisconsin and raised by his mother and father. He has five siblings and is the oldest. He married his high school sweetheart, Esther Heistad. A year later they moved to Rhinelander, Wisconsin when he was offered a job as a deputy sheriff at the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department. He continued to work his way up the ranks at the Sheriff’s Department to Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, Lieutenant and finally Sheriff. During this period of time, they were blessed with three biological children. Now all three are adults, college graduates, and married.
For many years, Esther and Jeff saw the need to assist the Department of Social Services, so they obtained their foster home license. They provided a place for many children, some short term, some longer. One child they felt a special attachment to and as a family decided to adopt him, so when he was seven, they did just that. He is now twenty three years old, graduated from Rhinelander High School, and went on to graduate from UW Stevens Point.
Jeff retired eight years ago as Sheriff of Oneida County after 38 years at the department. He is now employed with Triple Canopy Security as a part-time area supervisor. Jeff and his spouse love visiting their children located in Seattle, Minnesota and West Bend, WI. They enjoy taking motorcycle rides, hiking, and spending a little time at their second home in Arizona.
