PLEASE READ : The adoption fee covers fully vetting the dog, which includes microchip, 4DX test (checks for heartworms and tick-born disceases), fecal test (to check for worms and intestinal parasites), rabies vaccination (puppies under 12 weeks can not receive rabies), distemper combo vaccination, bordatella vaccination, dewormers (puppies up to 8 months may need to be dewormed more than one time, after adoption this is the responsibility of the owner) a single dose of flea/tick preventative (which will kill fleas/ticks and provide a month's worth of protection against them) and basic grooming if needed.
The adoption fee covers spay/neuter of dogs over the age of 6 months, (this is usually done proir to adopting) it does NOT cover dogs (puppies) under the age of 6 months for spay/neuter, this is the responsibility of the adopter. We do offer a reasonable discount for spay/neuter if done at the vet we contract with which is River Run in Pottsville, PA. You also have the right to have your vet do the surgery and must provide a spay/neuter certificate once done which is also in the adoption contract.
We DO NOT crop dogs ears nor do we condone it, this is also stated in the adoption contract and by signing you agree to never crop your dogs ears unless it is medically necessary and we approve it. You are required to take your dog to the vet to establish care with-in 30 days of adoption and take a fecal sample in to test to make sure all intestinal parasites are gone.
Adoption fees are considered donations and if you feel you need to return the animal for any reason, you understand donations are NON-REFUNDABLE. By signing this document I agree to all stated above and I understand everything I have read.
