• Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance

  • To support individuals in living their best lives at home, Connecticut Community Care (CCC) leads initiatives that foster thriving, healthy communities across the state. As a longstanding innovator and connector, CCC previously supported the Connecticut Healthy Living Collective and now leads the Connecticut Age Well Collaborative. In partnership with the State Department of Aging and Disability Services, CCC has helped senior centers deliver Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance (TJQ:MBB) statewide for the past six years.

TJQ: MBB is an evidence-based therapeutic movement program designed to improve balance, mobility, and daily functioning while helping to prevent falls. As a licensed program of Exercise Alternatives LLC, TJQ: MBB requires a license or sub-license to deliver, and CCC serves as a multi-site license holder.

We are pleased to share that, thanks to generous support from the State Department of Aging and Disability Services, funding for this program has been extended for an additional three years. Please complete this application by August 7 to be considered for funding and training
