• Farm and Food System Fellowship Scholarship Application

While AMI offers a tuition-free and paid Fellowship, we recognize that additional financial responsibilities can prevent individuals from participating. This scholarship is intended to offset personal expenses incurred during the Farm and Food Study for those with demonstrated financial need. Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) are given preference for funding because we recognize that systemic racism negatively impacts opportunity. Applications must be submitted by March 10, end of day.

AMI distributes awards taking into account:
    1) demonstration of need
    2) impact of funds
    3) the total number of applicants

We recognize that award amounts may determine an accepted Fellow’s ability to participate in the program and will therefore announce awards before accepted applicants are required to commit to the Fellowship. All final acceptance and scholarship decisions will be made by April 16.

Please note that depending on the loan provider, AMI can also assist with school loan deferral or verifying income-based repayment.

Be prepared to complete this form in one sitting - unfortunately, you will not be able to save and return to your answers. Fellowship Director Jessa Fowler is happy to answer any questions or concerns at jessa@amifellows.org.
