We use legal names by default for communication, accessing the Church Center App.

Using legal name by default means:
- Your tax receipts will be addressed to your legal name
- Communications from the church will use your legal name
- You will log in to the Church Center App using your legal name
We are blessed to have a diverse and multilingual congregation at Willingdon Church. As a result, many individuals may have a different legal name from the name they preferred to be used when they are interacting with others. To avoid confusion we give everyone the option to include a preferred first name. If you provide a preferred name it will take precedence over your legal name for all your records except in the case of your tax receipts.

Using a preferred name means:
- Your tax receipts will be addressed to your legal name ( Zhang Wei )
- Sign in to the Church Center App uses your preferred name ( John )
- Communication from the church uses your preferred name ( John )
