    • Our Registration Policies
    • Male puppies: All males are sold on a nonbreeding, limited registration through the AKC unless co-own arrangements are made with a home interested in showing the puppy in conformation (where full registration is required).

All males will have a stipulation in their contract to allow us the opportunity to have the dog collected at our own cost before they are neutered.  If an owner titles and fully health tests their male dog, we are open to discussing a change in registration to a co-owned arrangement so that the dog may be studded to appropriate bitches.

    • Bitch puppies: Bitches with breeding potential will be placed preferentially with those interested in co-owning and titling in dog sports (performance and/or conformation). Any bitches not co-owned are sold on nonbreeding, limited registration.

    • What to Expect
    • Other things to note:

We insist on meeting any potential owner at puppy pick up, which will be in Northern California unless arranged otherwise.

We are unwilling to ship a puppy.  At 8-9 weeks of age, Doberman puppies are small enough to be flown in-cabin, which is the only way we allow them to be flown to their new homes.

We recommend that Dobermans have annual health testing starting at 2 years of age. As breeding for health is central to why we breed, knowing the health of the dogs we produce is important to us. We request that you update us with any health changes over the life of your dog.  Additionally, if your dog dies unexpectedly for unknown reasons we request the opportunity to have a necropsy performed at our own expense to determine the cause of death.

      What is next:

Completing this application does not gurantee a puppy from this or any future litter. While it's unlikely, we reserve the right to refuse any placement at any time.

We don't breed often and are always happy to recommend other breeders that you might want to consider as well.  If you decide to get a puppy elsewhere, please let us know so that we can take you off of our list.

Once the litter is born - we contact each person on our waitlist in the order applications were recieved.  At this time I will verify your continued interest, review the application with you at length, answer any new questions you may have.

We strive to let people know ASAP if there will likely not be a puppy in the current litter for you.  Please note that home placements will be made as times progresses based on best fit for both the home and the puppy. Because conformation and temperment is assessed when they are a bit older,. We don't promise a specific puppy from any litter until after at least 7 weeks of age.

We are open to discussion of contract terms, but will not place a puppy without a signed contract.  When we feel confident that we have a puppy that will most likely match your needs, we will send a copy of the contract to you to review and sign electronically.  A 25% deposit of the purchase price is required at that time.  We will have a hard copy for wet signatures to be signed when the puppy is picked up.  If, for some reason a puppy is no longer available, we will refund your deposit.
