C.A.E. welcomes parental support in helping reach our organizational goals and objectives through C.A.E.'s Mentors Coalition (C.A.E. MC). C.A.E.’s family engagement coordinator will lead the charge in the development of strong community partnerships through; enhancing communication between families, school and C.A.E. staff; encourage and support school staff to reach out to families for support; and create ways for families, school and C.A.E. staff to meet face-to-face to establish an action plan of success for your child.
A framework of capacity-building is built into the very fabric of C.A.E.’s MC mandate. Staff training and family-centered activities ensure the requisite skills, knowledge, confidence, and belief systems—in other words, the collective capacity—to successfully implement and sustain these important home–school relationships. C.A.E. understands relational, collaborative, and developmental initiatives build capacity at the same time that it directly addresses student success.
Through our family engagement initiative, adults and youth take action TOGETHER to create a community that values young people and builds the skills they need to lead positive healthy lives. Benefits for becoming a "C.A.E. MC" also includes, but not limited to:
