We are now accepting applications for Campus Representatives and it is our goal to have at least one graduate student from each campus appointed to those positions!
The Indiana Counseling Association is dedicated to working alongside counseling graduate students and Indiana universities with counseling graduate student programs to address issues facing counselors-in-training and newly licensed professionals.
University graduate student representatives help ICA advocate for the needs and concerns of their fellow graduate students, communicate opportunities for continuing education, networking, and advocacy efforts, and gain more knowledge into the changing landscape of the counseling field at a State and National level.
Responsibilities of the University Graduate Student (Campus) Representative:
Each student will be responsible for representing the Indiana Counseling Association on each of their respective campuses and we ask that the students present to at least 2 classes a semester, a brief overview of the organization
Communicate continuing education, networking, and advocacy opportunities with their counseling department and professors
Provide feedback of any concerns/areas to address to the ICA Student Representative on the Board of Directors
Commitment to this position runs for one year, from July 1st-July 1st of the following year (unless other arrangements are made depending on start date of counseling program)
Deadline for application submissions is May 1, 2021.
