Chronic Pain & Rope
Here's a space for you to share your desires and needs about a workshop series about chronic pain & rope. Your answers will help inform the direction of the workshop series – that will begin to be released in the fall of 2021. This is anonymous and confidential. Your answers will NOT be published or used anywhere apart from my brainstorming. What is your relationship to chronic pain?
(Examples include but aren't limited to: I live with chronic pain. I love someone in chronic pain. I'm a support person for someone in chronic pain. I'm a play partner of someone in chronic pain. Neither, but want to learn, etc.)
Would you like to describe your pain?
(frequency, location, types, etc.) Some words that might be useful in filling out this question include: daily, frequently, occasional, cyclical, upper-body, lower-body, specific body parts, full-body, muscle, joint, nerves, diagnoses – or anything at all you'd like to share.
What is your current experience with rope?
(level of learning, emotions surrounding it, hesitancies, loves, questions, concerns, etc.)
If you could design the perfect workshop, what would you include?
(examples include but aren't limited to: floor work, partial suspension, full suspension, using rope for massage, using rope for physiotherapy, using rope for stretching incorporating mobility devices, communication around pain, safety, rope without additional pain, specific positions & ties, using props, types of rope, etc.)
