College Union Application

General Information
Dear College Union President Applicant:

We are excited by your interest in being part of the 2023-2024 College Union board. College Union exists to serve God by providing opportunities and experiences for rest, play, and fellowship for students at Wheaton College. The board consists of the President and twelve additional positions: Business Manager, Public Relations (2), Graphic Designer, Event Coordinators (4), Students Arts Coordinator, Concerts Manager, Student Music Coordinator, and an Audiovisual Technician.

We ask that you consider the following expectations before you apply:
1. You are committed to the purpose of College Union as described above, taking ownership of your job duties, events, and helping others in theirs.
2. You are committed and dedicated to College Union for the full academic year. This means that you are willing to forgo other commitments so that you may commit more fully to College Union.
3. As a student leader in the ICAM, you currently have and thus maintain a 2.5 GPA.
4. You are ready to be challenged and confronted with yourself, as you and your group strive to shape each other into the likeness of Christ.
5. You have already served in a formal student leadership role for at least one year.
6. You will be able to return to campus for the Student Leadership Training Week early August (13-20, 2023).
7. You are required to attend all weekly meetings, and the majority - if not all- of College Union's events.
All the information received both in your application and references are confidential. The complete application is due by Friday, February 17th at 5:00pm and consists of the application form and two references (one from a faculty member or staff person and one from a peer). It is your responsibility to make sure your references get their forms to the ICAM Office by Friday, February 17th at 5:00pm. Once you have submitted your application, expect to hear from the ICAM office for a scheduled interview soon.

Interviews for CU President will be held between February 23rd - February 24th.
