    About the Event

    Want to learn how to make an authentic okonomiyaki and yakisoba easily using Otafuku Sauce?

    We are delighted to announce our second virtual okonomiyaki and yakisoba cooking class with a professional chef, Kinu Yukawa! Grab your chance to enjoy an okonomiyaki and yakisoba with other Japanese food fans!

    Otafuku Sauce and HYPER JAPAN are hosting the free virtual okonomiyaki and yakisoba cooking class where you can meet Japanese food lovers across the UK, learn the authentic recipes, and have dinner together. Before the class, you will get a free special meal kit of Otafuku products to prepare for the big day!

    HYPER JAPAN has always brought the most authentic – and delicious – Japanese food to London, and now we’ve teamed up with Otafuku Sauce to bring the most authentic Japanese ingredients directly into your kitchens. The session will be led by Kinu Yukawa from Sozai Cooking School, the first cooking school in the UK dedicated to authentic Japanese food.

    What is happening at the Virtual Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba Cooking Class?


    [Before the event]

    ・Participants will receive a special box of Otafuku products (including Okonomi and Yakisoba sauce) in advance of the class
    ・Participants will be asked to prepare some ingredients to use in the class in advance

    ・Participants will be asked to follow Otafukusauce Global Instagram Account (@otafuku_global)

    [During the event]

    ・Everyone will get together on Zoom, learn how to make the authentic Japanese okonomiyaki and yakisoba and share the joy of eating them!
    ・Chef Kinu Yukawa will give you a live lesson to make perfect okonomiyaki and yakisoba using Otafuku sauce which you will get in advance of the class. It will be a live cook-along session, so everyone will be asked to make an okonomiyaki and/or yakisoba with the chef.

    [After the event]

    ・Participants will be asked to take a questionnaire about the class.

  • Application for accreditation to the event is open to all media professionals working for newspaper, news services, magazines, radio and television stations, and online publications engaged in disseminating news.

    Media registration is free for accredited press and includes all privileges of a full participant.

    Media registration is limited to accredited journalists and only approved media will be admitted access on-site.

    • All photography is to be carried out in accordance with the instructions of HYPER JAPAN organisers.
    • Interviews and filming are to be conducted publicity purposes, and as such may be broadcast or made available via media channels.

    • Where media representatives wish to interview instructors, this can be arranged, but requests for photography, audio recording or filming should always be agreed directly in writing (either on paper or electronically) with the organiser.
    • Please accept that some instructors or participants may not want to be filmed or photographed.
    • Please ensure to seek permission to take or use pictures of participants to the event.
