ANCL New Team Application

Introduction

American National Cricket League (ANCL) was established in 2020. The leading and principal purpose of the League is to promote cricket in the Washington DMV area further. Given the immense growth in the cricket-loving population in the DMV area, we feel no one should be left behind; all teams and players should find a home to play, where they can play in a fair, unbiased, and competitive environment. We look forward to providing all three. ANCL's vision is to make this league-best around the USA, introducing modern technologies, producing high-class talent by holding first-class tournaments, and inducting a grassroots program where youth can showcase their talent.

The league will be played in a division structure and will primarily hold T20 and 40/40 tournaments.

Instructions

All new cricket clubs interested in competing in tournaments under the ANCL umbrella must accurately complete this application form.

Please type or print clearly all applicable sections.

Applicant teams must meet ALL desideratum specified in the “Requirements” section and as mandated by the ANCL Constitution and ANCL By-laws.

All ANCL new team applications can be filled electronically via this form or request a .pdf by email. If the application is submitted by this form, please retain the confirmation email or submission ID as proof of submission.

Submitting the new team application does not guarantee admission into the ANCL.
ANCL Management will review the application, interview the applicant team’s officers, and notify them of ANCL’s management decision.

New Field Incentives: ANCL offers incentives for any new and existing ground brought to ANCL.

A. 100% or part of the League Dues waived for 1st year (Ground must remain with ANCL for three years, “Exceptions apply”). League dues waiving is dependent on the availability of the ground and other factors like maintenance etc, etc.
B. Preferential field allocation.
C. Field Maintenance Responsibility sharing
D. Ground sharing contract must be signed with ANCL
clubs that brings in a new field to ANCL.

Fees and Dues

Applicant clubs are subject to the following fees and are subject to change:

Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee of $300 to accompany the membership application.

Initiation Fee: A new member initiation fee of $700, if the application is approved and team is accepted into ANCL

Season Dues: Season dues are calculated every year based on the budget for that year and will be communicated to the teams.

Club-Team Ownership

In case of any internal dispute of the club, where ANCL needs to get involve, below officer will be considered a final decision maker on behalf of the club.

Note: This is very important, as this defines the club ownership. If club ownership changes hands once accepted by the ANCL, it must be recorded with the ANCL management in writing.
