Thank you for your interest in the Hands and Hoofs Programs! Please read all information in this form closely.
To ensure we offer our free programs fairly, we will be holding a lottery for spaces. We will have our first draw on August 30. If all spaces are filled, we will make a waitlist. If there is space remaining, we will hold another lottery at a later date. Due to extremely limited spaces, we ask that each child participate only one camp per calendar year.
Once we have filled a camp date, we will assign campers to groups with staggered start times. Your child's participation will last approximately 3 hours.
Our program is located in Wilton, pproximately 20-30 minutes from Elk Grove, Rancho Cordova or Lodi.
Our Kids Day Camp is an Equine Assisted Learning program focusing on exploration, creativity, social emotional learning and connection - all in the context of our "petting zoo," herd of gentle horses, and arts/crafts projects. This program does not include any horseback riding.
Your child must be at least 7 years old to participate in one of our Day Camps. The Day Camp is intended to serve kids age 7-14.
Important:
We require a responsible adult to be present on site for the duration of the camp day. We find that campers love sharing their achievements and excitement with their grownups. We invite you to spend the day under our trees and take a break out in the country with us.
If you are unable to attend with your camper, you may designate another adult in your place. We are unable to offer a drop-off program at this time. The designated adult must be able to make medical decisions on behalf of the camper in the unlikely event that it becomes necessary. One person may serve as the responsible adult for multiple campers, as determined between the parent or guardian of each camper and the desginated adult.
