• Nari Nari Tribal Council Visitor Access Application & Policy

  • This Application Form is to be used to apply for access to Nari Nari Tribal Council (NNTC) owned lands. Applicants must read the NNTC Access Policy and Conditions of Access before completing this application form- Please see below link

    It it is mandatory  that each individual entering NNTC owned lands complete their own individual Application Form and acknowledge the NNTC Access Application. 

    The NNTC reserves the right to vary or replace the Toogimbie and Glenhope Access Policy (“Access Policy”) and to impose Special Conditions in addition to the Conditions of Access (if access is granted).

    Terms that are used in the Access Policy have the same meaning in this Application Form.

    If the access policy is not adhered to on multiple occasions then your access may not be granted. Seven days’ notice is a must for all occasions and fire season will be taken very seriously

  • Please provide a  your Journey Plan whilst in TNNTC owned lands. This should include details about which parts of the Property area will be visited, on what dates/times, and which activities will be carried out. 

  • Risk appraisal: Are you proposing to engage in any activities in the Project area which may pose a significant risk to persons, land, buildings, fauna, vegetation or water? Please provide details, and information as to how you will eliminate or manage those risks?

  • In addition to seeking approval from NNTC you must also make sure that you comply with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulation. CASA rules for flying drones apply to all drones.

  • Conditions may change unexpectedly and prevent the use of drones on Gayini eg. Fire or weather conditions. You must check with a NNTC representative, on the day you plan to fly. Any alert that prevents drone use overrides this consent.

  • Bio security

  • Biosecurity is important because it protects our Culture, economy, environment and community from pests, diseases, weeds and contaminants

    Biosecurity is a shared responsibility, and everybody has a role to play in protecting NSW from these biosecurity risks.

    Under the Biosecurity Act 2015, everyone has a general biosecurity duty – this means anyone who deals with biosecurity matter is required to prevent, eliminate or minimise any biosecurity risks they encounter. 

    As part of your entry onto NNTC owned lands you must comply wth the following

    * wash down my vehicle, tools and equipment before entering NNTC owned lands and be sure that no weed seeds, grasses, foreign dirt particles are present that can be transferred onto NNTC owned lands. 

     

     

  • Sharing of information

  • As part of your access being granted to NNTC lands, a condition to your access will be that all researchers and visitors must supply NNTC with copies of any data collected, within 14 days of departure (unless otherwise discussed.)

  • The Bush Fire Danger Ratings give you an indication of the possible consequences of a fire, if one was to start.

    Bush Fire Danger Ratings are based on predicted conditions such as temperature, humidity, wind and the dryness of the landscape.

    The higher the fire danger rating, the more dangerous the conditions.

  • All personal information provided in this form is regulated by the NSW Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998. The personal information provided in this form will be only used for:

    (1) the purpose of determining whether access to the Project area should be granted,

    (2) supervising access, if access is granted,

    (3) promoting the safety of Visitors or members of the public,  or

    (4) giving effect to the Consortiums rights under the Conditions of Access or under law.

     

    NNTC will not disclose personal information to third parties, unless you consent, or such disclosure is required or permitted under law.

    In addition the NNTC may disclose personal information to law enforcement or emergency services if necessary to protect the safety of visitors or the public, to prevent damage to NNTC lands, or to prevent unauthorised access to or occupancy of NNTC lands.

    Without limiting the foregoing, surveillance cameras may be used at various locations in order to detect unauthorised access to NNTC lands. Images collected by surveillance cameras may be provided to NSW Police for investigation and/or enforcement action if the NNTC suspects unauthorised entry.

  • Acceptance of conditions of access by an organisation

    (if applicable)
  • Note: An Organisation may sign this Application Form only if it is a legal entity and can legally be bound by the Conditions of Access. Otherwise, each individual who intends to enter the Project area must sign the Application Form below. The Department retains the right to require individual Visitors to complete the Application Form even if they represent an Organisation.

  • For and on behalf of the Organisation named in section 1 (“Organisation”), I, in my capacity as the duly authorised agent of the Organisation acknowledge and agree that by signing this Application Form:

    a. I have read and understood the current NNTC Access Policy including the Conditions of Access
    b. I shall render the Organisation/individual to be legally bound by the Conditions of Access and Special Conditions (if any),  if this Application Form is approved in writing by the Department.
    c. the Organisation/individual accepts responsibility, as prescribed by the Conditions of Access, for the conduct of any Visitor who gains access to NNTC lands under this Application Form.
