    Directions: Fill-in each field below. Please be as specific as possible with the information provided paying specific attention to schedule, benefits, rate, and duties. The information in the questionnaire will inform your job description and work agreement. Recurrent changes to the job description may incur an amendment fee.

  • IMPORTANT: Duties of a child-focused Nanny vs. Family Assistant / House Manager are markedly different. Responsibilities outside of child-related upkeep are compensated at a higher rate. (e.g. generally $30+/hr)

  • The following market rates represent the average job description in our area. Each candidate determines their personal hourly rate and compensation requirements based on experience. For detailed descriptions of job titles, click here.

    Nanny Rates (child-focused):
    $25-32/hour

    Nanny / Family Assistant Rates:
    $27-30+/hour *specialized positions may exceed $32/hr depending on scope

    Household Manager Rates:
    $28-30+/hour *specialized positions may exceed $32/hr depending on scope

    Nanny Share Rates:
    $15-17/hour per child *most shares will be at the top of this range or above

    Full-Time Benefits Package:
    -2 weeks (10 days) paid vacation
    -8 paid Federal Holidays

    Employment Standards:
    -Guaranteed hours
    -Taxes withheld (Compliant with IRS)
    -Overtime (1.5x hourly rate) for any hours worked in excess of 40 per week (Compliant with FLSA)
    -Accrued sick leave (Compliant with WA state law. Accrues at 1 hour per every 40 hours worked)
    -Mileage reimbursement (Standard IRS rate)

    Additional Incentive to consider when seeking a high-caliber Nanny:
    Health care stipend (ranging from $100-250+ per month)

    Average Part-Time Benefits:
    Part-time nannies generally do not receive a full benefits package. We recommend developing an incentive package to attract and retain qualified candidates. (ex: 1 week of vacation, paid holidays that land on a regular work day)
