I understand the goals and mission of Palm Beach Purrs and, as a volunteer, agree to abide by them and represent this mission within the community on behalf of the organization. My commitment includes following Palm Beach Purrs foster care guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to:
A commitment to following protocols required by both PetSmart and Palm Beach Purrs.
A commitment to follow instructions with regard to safe handling of cats and kittens.
I understand that only the Palm Beach Purrs Administrator or PetSmart Staff has the authority to make exceptions/changes to program guidelines.
I understand that Palm Beach Purrs has the right to terminate this agreement and relationship at will.
I understand that there is a possibility of health or injury risk when caring for cats. I also understand that pregnant women and people with suppressed immune systems need to be aware that a parasite sometimes found in feces could cause toxoplasmosis. Special care needs to be taken if such persons plan to come in contact with used litter pans. I will not hold Palm Beach Purrs liable for any injury or illness, which may result from my volunteer activities.
I understand that if I need to end my volunteer commitment I will inform a Palm Beach Purrs Administrator.
I understand that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. Minors may not be left unsupervised for any reason and for any amount of time.
Volunteer Shifts are a minimum of 2-Hours (Alton) and 1-1/2 Hours (Chasewood). I acknowledge receipt of Palm Beach Purr's Volunteer To-Do List and understand that it is my responsibility to complete all tasks (copy available on-site also). Completion of tasks are required to ensure the proper care of the cat and kittens, and the adoption site.
In the event of an emergency concerns, I will contact any of these persons: Robyn Blair (561-427-5116), Kelly McKee (561-308-9284), or Christina De la Fuente (863-873-8679).
I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE ABOVE.
