1. Make sure there is natural light in the room where the bride will be getting ready (window light).

2. If possible, try to have all bridal details together before the photographer arrives (dress, jewelry, shoes, bouquet, garter, veil, etc).

3. Keep the area near the window free of trash, bags, snacks, etc.

4. Allow more time than you think you need to get ready! It’s better to be safe than RUSHED!

Are there any rules at your venue about where photographers are allowed to go during the ceremony?

Will you be doing a candle lighting, sand pouring or anything else I need to know about during your ceremony?

Do you care if I am in the aisle after the bride comes down or along the edges? I try my best to stay out of the guests way but I also want to make sure I get the shots that I need for you to remember your special day.

Please have one of your bridesmaids get ALL of the people you want in your family portraits rounded up as soon as the ceremony is over. If we can keep everyone on task, family formals shouldn't take too long.

Are there any family members that do not get along and won't want to be grouped with others? I want to avoid and confrontation or awkwardness.

Please block off AT LEAST 30 minutes just for family formals.

Please have the wedding party gathered as soon as the ceremony is over so we can get these done as soon as family formals are over and we can get you to your reception.

Please list the order and names of those family members you want included in family formals. Designate a member of the bridal party to keep these people nearby until their photos are captured.

I can not stress enough how important these images will be to you. Family and wedding party formals are important but these pictures are what the day is all about. I know your guests are going to complain and you will be hungry but please take my advice and let me get some amazing pictures of you and your new spouse. Thes, in my opinion, are the most important.

Final payment for the wedding day is due 1 week prior to wedding date. Payment can be made via the options listed above.
