    Complete this form to apply for event funding for events taking place from April 1, 2021, through to March 31, 2022. Please consult poets.ca/funding before applying to ensure you understand all guidelines, timelines, and eligibility details.

    Please submit applications for ONE poet at a time; applications that list several poets in one form will not be considered. If you are applying for several poets, please complete additional applications.
  • Honorarium request

  • $125 honorarium events:

    • Poet reads for under 15 minutes

    $250 honorarium events:

    • Poet reads for longer than 15 minutes, and/or
    • Poet is the only featured speaker

    Please note that we cannot fund the following:

    • Events that are not open to the public (eg. closed University/College events, closed membership events); with the exception of Poets in the Schools events in Ontario public schools
    • Applications submitted by publishers
    • Events that do not feature a live poetry reading
    • Non-live events (eg. prerecorded readings or events)

    Poets may submit an application for funding on their own behalf, but if the event is being organized by someone else, the host/organizer will need to provide verification of the event.
