  • Welcome to the Building Futures: Pathways to Trades in Wyndham registration form.

    Building Futures: Pathways to Trades is designed to support women in Wyndham and the surrounding areas into careers in the trades industry.

    Through a series of four workshops and a year-long mentoring and support program, you will learn about opportunities in trades, be connected to a group of 60 women, meet with a well-connected and experienced long-term mentor, learn new career-ready skills, and be connected to trades employers.

    Workshop 1 (Saturday 24 April 2021): Meet with like-minded women, network and connect.

    Workshop 2 (Saturday 8 May 2021): Get access to Trades businesses.

    Workshop 3 (Saturday 22 May 2021): See a variety of roles and women in them while getting increased knowledge of the different roles available to you.

    Workshop 4 (Saturday 5 June 2021): Learn about the increased roles available, and secure a job or TAFE course in the trades industry.

    This form could be your first step into a lifelong career, a great social network, and financial security. Place numbers on the short course are limited.

    This registration form helps us understand more about you so that we can tailor the course to your needs. We also collect this information because we will be matching you with a mentor, so we want to make sure that we are matching you to someone that will get along well with.

    This form also tries to understand what you think and feel about trades careers. There are no right or wrong answers; this information is collected confidentially and you are not being tested, so please answer honestly to help us make Building Futures: Pathways to Trades as interesting and relevant to you as possible.

  • Questions about the program

  • Building Futures: Pathways to Trades is a pilot project based in Wyndham. It is designed to support you into a job or further training relevant to the trades industry. You will attend 4 workshops, with each workshop designed to build on your learnings from the previous workshop. The dates and times of the workshops are:

    1. Saturday 24 April 2021, 9am – 12pm OR 1pm – 4pm
    2. Saturday 8 May 2021, 9am – 12pm OR 1pm – 4pm
    3. Saturday 22 May 2021, 9am – 12pm OR 1pm – 4pm
    4. Saturday 5 June 2021, 9am – 12pm OR 1pm – 4pm
  • Questions about mentoring

  • As part of the program, we will match you with a female mentor who currently works in the trades industry. You will have access to your mentor for one year and she will support you to achieve some career-related goals that you will set together. At the end of the year, you can decide whether you would like to continue supporting each other.
