    This form should be completed for elementary-aged students who are ZONED for the Hilton Head Island elementary schools to provide intent to enroll at either Hilton Head Island Elementary School or Hilton Head Island Elementary School for the Creative Arts.

    Hilton Head Island is unique in the fact that families of elementary-aged students who are zoned for schools on Hilton Head have the option of selecting enrollment between 2 different programs. Below is a snapshot of the programs offered.

    INTERNATIONAL BACCALEAUREATE PROGRAM ARTS INFUSED PROGRAM

    International Baccalaureate Program (IB) is a recognized leader in the field of international education, encouraging students to be active learners, well-rounded individuals, and engaged citizens of the world. The three IB programs span the years from first grade through high school help develop the intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills to live, learn, and work in a rapidly globalizing world.

    Hilton Head Island Elementary also offers Dual-Language as an option for rising first graders in Spanish and Chinese. Dual-Language application information will be sent after registration for Hilton Head Island Elementary School.

    Arts Infused or arts integration programs focus on providing extensive opportunities for all students to learn through creative instructional approaches and to express themselves creatively in the arts. These opportunities equip students with abstract reasoning skills that will better prepare them to move ahead into a workforce or career field that is largely characterized by entrepreneurship and outside-of-the-box thinking. The arts curriculum provides students with a creative learning environment that includes performances, exhibitions of artwork, and special performing groups. Students will have many opportunities to build community relationships and to participate in a quality, comprehensive arts education that includes dance, music, theatre, visual arts, STEAM, and creative writing.
