Acknowledgement & Consent
To the best of my knowledge, I do not have a medical reason that would prevent me from participating in online or face-to-face Yoga Therapy classes. I understand that reasonable safety precautions will be taken during classes. I choose to take part at a level and pace that feels right for me, and I accept responsibility for my own wellbeing, including any injuries that may occur while participating.
Participation Agreement & Ways of Being Together
At Kendra Healing Arts, my intention is to create a safe, flexible, and inclusive space for yoga therapy. These guidelines honour both the practical commitments of attending classes and the trauma-sensitive principles that shape how we are together.
Our Shared Commitments
- Healing grows through safety, connection, and compassion.
- Choice and agency are central.
- You are always invited to decide what feels right for you in any practice.
- We value interoception (your inner felt sense) over perfection or performance.
- Non-coercion and invitational language guide all classes.
- Silence, rest, and stepping back are as welcome as participation.
- All bodies, identities, and ways of learning are respected.
- We affirm that Autism, ADHD, and other forms of neurodiversity are natural variations of being human.
- We acknowledge the impacts of collective trauma (racism, sexism, colonialism, classism, ableism, and more), and aim to reduce harm and micro-aggressions wherever possible.
Attendance & Fees
- Classes follow a progressive program, usually in 8–10 week terms. Regular attendance helps your practice deepen.
- A sliding scale is offered: choosing a Supporter rate makes Concession rates possible. Everyone is welcome to select the level that feels right for them.
- Payments are made at the start of term (bank transfer or cash). Payment plans are available.
- If you cannot attend a prepaid class, you may transfer to another class in the same week (subject to space).
Missed & Cancelled Classes
- Refunds are not offered for missed classes or early cancellation.
- You may transfer your enrolment to another person if you cannot continue.
- If I cancel a class, I will do my best to provide a make-up session.
Course Fees
- Payment plans can be requested and need to be paid in full before course completion.
- If you are unable to attend part of the course refunds will not be offered.
- In cases where illness occurs, a credit for next course may be issued apon application.
Class Cancellations
- Occasionally classes need to be canceled on short notice. All effort will be made to provide a make-up class after the term.
Confidentiality & Care
- What you share in class is treated as confidential, except where there are legal or safeguarding concerns.
- I will provide referrals if your needs extend beyond what yoga therapy can support.
- Classes are offered without prejudice toward sexual identity, gender identity, culture, race, spirituality, physical or cognitive ability, or age.
Ongoing Reflection
- As a trauma-aware facilitator, I acknowledge that change is constant. I commit to reflecting on my actions and revising my approach where needed, so that this space continues to be supportive, inclusive, and responsive.
By participating, you are agreeing to honour these guidelines, care for your own wellbeing, and contribute to a collective space of respect and compassion.
