Payments
Payments are due on the day of service credit card, debit card, or personal check.
Financial Situation
The ability to see clients at a reduced rate is limited by the overhead costs of the business and legal elements of counseling, as well as by the availability of donor funds through the Pay-it-Forward Program. Our heart is to help as many people as possible receive Biblical counseling with discounted fees. For this reason, every 10 visits, your fee will increase by $5. This should be consistent with when most clients are able to change from a weekly to bi-weekly session, and then to an as-needed session, so it should affect overall household budget. If your financial situation changes making this not feasible, please reach out to krista@sothatwe.com.
Scheduling
Each counselor has a limited number of discounted fee spaces available each week. When scheduling online, please be aware that your counselor may reach out to you to move your appointment into the following week if their given number of spaces is filled. We do our best not to approve more discounted fee clients than we are able to give regular visits to, so this is not likely to be a common occurence.
No-Shows and Cancellations
Please cancel any appointments at the earliest time possible when you know you will be unable to make your appointment, as it will open up slots for other clients. As outlined in the financial policies, a late cancellation is an appointment cancelled with less than 24 hour notice. A no-show is an appointment for which the client hasn't reached out to the counselor within 15 minutes of the appointment start time. Discounted fee clients will be billed their discounted rate and not the counselor's full rate for these occurrences. However, three such occurrences may result in discharge from the discounted fee program, after which counseling can only occur at full price.
Frequency and Continuation of Care
Due to the limited number of reduced-rate slots available, only one reduced-cost appointment per family/household may be utilized per week. Your counselor will make recommendations as to how this slot may best be utilized in a given week if multiple family members are in need of counseling. Should funds allow, the counselor may waive this policy on a case-by-case basis when there is severe need.
