Saturday October 2nd 'all emotions are ok' webinar for parents and carers
(Part Two for parents and carers Saturday 6th November)
Did you know that there is a critical period from conception through to about 3 years not only for laying down of brain architecture but also the immune system, metabolic system and genetic expression? This isn't just about early learning in school—it‘s about the foundations of physical and mental health. It’s about decreasing the likelihood that a child will develop heart disease or hypertension, or diabetes, or a wide range of the most common chronic illnesses in society.
'All Emotions are OK' training runs as paired online webinar style workshops with a two to three week gap between where you can start using the resources.
Part ONE: you will be introduced to the concept of positive, tolerable and toxic stress, Dan Siegel's Hand Model, Ingroups and Outgroups, John Gottman's Emotion Coaching
Part TWO: you will share stories of using The Hand Model and Emotion Coaching with friends, colleagues, parents and carers. You will have the opportunity to discuss in more detail practical ways to support parents and carers with their own emotional development so that they can work with you to develop their child's emotion intelligence.
Each workshop is 3 and a half hours long (half a day). The first part of the session is flexi learning with online resources provided. You will then join Dr Sarah Temple in a webinar for the final 2 hours of the session where you will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss learning with your peers.
In addition to the webinars listed below there will be a additional networking webinars for community leads.
