TTCR specializes in cats with behavioral issues. Our cats here are not perfect. Some of them have also been severely abused and neglected, resulting in mental illness. We cannot promise you will never have urination issues, litterbox issues, or that your cat won't have a mental illness. Do you fully understand adopting is not always perfect and agree to bring the cat back if things do not work out? Returing is the safest option for these cats. There is no shame in things not working out. Attempting to rehome a cat with issues can be life threatening to them.
These are rescue cats. They will NOT immediately acclimate into your home. They will need time to adjust. Most have experienced trauma and moving homes is stressful. Adult cats can take several weeks to acclimate. Some will still hide after a week. Some will still be getting used to other pets after a week. This section is specifically to reduce returned cats. If you do not want to put work or time into a cat, please DO NOT apply. We want patient loving homes, who understand the trauma these cats have experienced. If you understand that please type 'meow' below.
Why do you want to adopt from us?
For the last portion of this form we will need you to sign to acknowledge and agree to the following: 1). I fully understand and agree to assume all risks involved during my visit. I agree to hold Tabby Tails Cat Rescue harmless for any injury(s), loss, or damages which I or my property might sustain during the course of my visit. 2) That you understand being able to adopt is a privilege. We cannot guarantee a cat/kitten to any family or person. If your application does not meet our standards you may be denied ability to adopt, and application discarded. 3) You agree to return the adopted cat if you cannot or do not want to care for it any longer. You will not attempt to rehome or give away the cat on your own. (This is the safest option for the cat and easiest option for you!)
