This means the full shoot.

We are not interested in work where you do a shoot and send 4 images to one publication, 4 others to another publication and 4 others to another publication.

We ask for exclusive sets.

This includes slight wardrobe changes. A different hair flower or wardrobe changes in the same setting with the same makeup and hair application most often does not make the photos look different enough to most viewers.

If you are a model at a shootout with five different photographers working with you on the same nylon backdrop with the same wardrobe we will look at those photos as the same.

If you submit the same session's work to multiple magazines including Retro Lovely and we accept and publish something we find from the same shoot in another publication we may elect to not consider future submissions from you.
Your submission has been published in these issues:
Please only submit multiple models when they appear WITH EACH OTHER in photos. If you are a photographer DO NOT submit 10 different models who are by themselves in each photo. In those cases make multiple submissions. This is for internal processing and tracking purposes. The same is true for models. DO not submit 10 images of yourself by 10 different photographers. Our submissions are based on "sets", not a retrospective of your work.

Below you can upload up to 10 images. Only one upload field shows initially. More fields will become available as you fill them. We've done it this way to keep this form more clean. You can only upload one image per field. If you have a favorite you can let us know by uploading it first.

IMAGES SHOULD NOT HAVE WATERMARKS OR LOGOS ON THEM. The submission will be declined and will not be reviewed. You will need to start over.

If the files aren't at least 1.2. megabytes in size you will get an error. This is because they are too small to publish. Please do not email us telling us you got an error. That's this form doing its job for us. Please do not ask if you can email them instead, that won't magically make the files you have larger. Please talk to the photographer about getting higher resolution files. We have more info on our guidelines page here: (pending)

We will need a screen shot of the results of each image you are uploading that you want to inform us is large enough for our form.

COVERS will only be selected from among submissions with at least enough content for a six page spread. Thus you would need at least six images for your set to be considered for a cover. We see many 2 photo submissions with glorious work but will not devote a cover to them when there would only be two pages in the issue.

Images should be at least 2250 pixels by 3300 pixels in size

MODELS - talk to your photographers BEFORE YOU SHOOT. Let them know you want to submit for publication. TELL THEM YOU WANT FINAL CROPS at 8.5 x 11 inches. EVERY DAY we see STUNNING work we can't use as covers because the photographers FILL THE FRAME, that format won't work. They also need to consider the pages need to be trimmed so SPACE is needed around you or things get cut off. YOU COULD BE LOSING OUT ON COVERS.

ONLY WORK CROPPED TO 8.5 x 11 inches will be considered for covers.
