Trap-Neuter-Return for Outside Cats

If you have one or more community cats that need to be spayed or neutered, please fill out this form as completely and accurately as possible. Community Cats will be spayed/neutered, receive rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, and a mandatory ear tip. We ask for a $25 donation for each cat that needs to be fixed. However, if you are unable to donate, we may be able to provide or locate financial assistance. Thank you for caring for the community cats!!! PLEASE NOTE: We do not loan traps or conduct trap-neuter-return during November, December, January, and February or if the forecasted temperature will be below 40 degrees.If you have an injured or sick community cat, please let us know in the last question. Do you agree to spay/neuter all the cats? NOTE: This includes pregnant females and kittens as young as 2 pounds or 2 months. Nursing/lactating moms can be spayed and continue to nurse her kittens.

How many traps do you need to borrow? We require a $50 trap deposit per trap. You will not be charged if you return the trap clean and in working order.(Each cat must be in their own trap. You are welcome to use your own traps if you have them.)

Are all the cats already spayed/neutered? If not, we can work with you in the spring to get them fixed.

How many shelters do you think you'll need? Typically, you'll want to provide 1 shelter for every 1--2 cats. Plan for the occassional opossum or raccoon to claim one. That's okay, leave them be and add another one for the cats.
By signing this waiver, I acknowledge that feral cats are wild animals which can be unpredictable in their behavior and are capable of inflicting serious bodily injury. I willingly assume the risk and responsibility of participating in this program. I hereby release AnimalOutreach of Shelby County, Inc. and any and all of their officials, officers, directors, employees, agents and/or volunteers from any and all claims arising out of or connected with the performance of this program. I agree to indemnify and hold Animal Outreach of Shelby County, Inc., and any and all of their officials, officers, directors, employees, agents and/or volunteers harmless for any damages caused during the trapping and transportation of the animal or for any damages caused by participation in the program*
Each shelter costs about $5 for construction, transport, and storage. The shelters are free to you, but if you’d like to pitch in toward the cost, we’d certainly appreciate it! A $10 donation means you can pay it forward to another cat in need.
