How to apply for a Working with Vulnerable People Card.
- Complete a Volunteer application for 'Registration to Work with Vulnerable People', including The Rock’s organisation details listed below.
- You will receive an email containing an application receipt with a reference number. Keep this email and forward it to safety@therock.net.au
- Pay the application fee (online by credit card) or at any Service Tasmania.
- Have your photo taken at any Service Tasmania.

By completing this application I agree to the following:
- I will drive carefully and follow all road rules.
- I will ensure that all passengers always wear a seat belt.
- I will not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or permit smoking within the vehicle.
- I have a Clean Driving Record 1 (Definition of a clean driving record is: - no more than 4 points in 12 months inclusive of probationary drivers).
- I will notify team of any probationary action recorded against my driving.
- If driving a private vehicle I will ensure it is registered, insured and in good working order prior to transporting children or vulnerable people.
- I have completed or am willing to complete Child Safe training.
- I will not volunteer until this application has been approved by the Rock Church.
- I have provided my RWVP card or am in the application process.
- The information I have provided in this form is true and correct and indicates my commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all those for whom I am responsible.

The Rock Safe Practices

Creating a safe and supportive environment for all children, youth and vulnerable people.
Volunteer Responsibilities & Expectations
- Committed to being an active, fully present and participating member of the team.
- Under no circumstances are leaders to be on their own with children/youth.
- Under no circumstances are leaders to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs before or during ministry.
- When on team be mindful of boundaries, even with your own family.
- Attend Team Meetings as required and attend yearly Rock Safe Ministries event.
- Always check-in all group participants using Elvanto.
- Submit roster unavailabilities ahead of time and text ASAP in the case of short notice absences.
- Ministry Team Leader to always be present during program.
- Only fully licensed drivers, with an accompanying adult, to transport others and no picking up or dropping off children without parents prior consent.
- If you have an issue concerning safety in a ministry or in any area at all concerning the Rock, you must file a Safe Church Concerns Report at www.therock.net.au/safety
- If you are exposed to any disclosure and/or suspicions of harm. You must report this to your Ministry Team leader. It’s never your role to interview or investigate, your role is to report.
