Information you require - Please state below your area of interest (locality, parish or national grid reference) and the site or find type you are interested in. Please provide as much detail as possible to enable us to process your enquiry efficiently.

The basic charging rate for enquiries of a commercial nature is £110 + VAT per hour or any portion of an hour. The minimum fee will be £110 + VAT. Subject to staff availability, results will normally be provided within 5 working days. A priority service is available with a charging rate of £140 + VAT per hour or any portion of an hour. The minimum fee will be £140 + VAT. Subject to staff availability, results will be provided within 2 working days.

For commercial or larger enquiries, we provide basic information in CSV (for Microsoft Excel) and SHP (Esri shapefile) formats. We also provide an HTML and PDF document detailing the full descriptions for all sites listed. If you require data in any other format additional time and therefore cost may be incurred.

Please consult the Welsh Archaeological Trust’s Access and Cost Recovery Policy available in English and Welsh (click hyperlink to access) when submitting an enquiry to the Clwyd-Powys Archaeological Trust Historic Environment Record. You must comply with conditions detailed in this license agreement.

The Data Protection Act (1998)

There is a right to access to the HER to inspect personal information held in the HER enquiries database and on paper. This information is collected for the purposes of administering Welsh Archaeological Trust records and providing archaeological advice. The information will be used to monitor and improve the services offered by the Welsh Archaeological Trusts. It will not be provided to any outside agencies or individuals.
