Youth Jury Application

This application must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian to be considered for participation. There is a limit to how many applicants we can accept into the Youth Jury, so there will be interviews with each applicant.
We are looking for our next group of Youth Jury members for the upcoming 2021 Palm Springs International ShortFest in June!

The Youth Jury is a collection of high school students from the greater Palm Springs area brought together into a group of like minded young people to watch and evaluate a selection of films from ShortFest, and ultimately select a film to represent the group as the winner of the Youth Jury Award. Along with watching and deliberating on films from the festival, the youth jury will have the opprotunity to interview filmmakers, festival programmers, and staff to learn more about filmmaking, the film industry, and how film festivals function.

All participation for the Youth Jury will be done virtually through zoom and email correspodnace.

Students will need to be available for some intoductory zoom meetings throughout May and June leading up to the Palm Springs International ShortFest at the end of June. The 2021 ShortFest runs June 22-28. During the week of the ShortFest, student applicants must be available each day to participate in this program.
