If you are planning to graduate from LPC as Honors Scholar THIS CURRENT YEAR, and/or are applying to either UCLA, UCI, or to Yale and want to use Transfer Agreements with these institutions, you have to get certified. Just completing the Honors Program does not give you automatic benefits when you apply for transfer. When we certify you - we check your records, put you on the certified LPC applicants list and provide this list to the partner institutions. That is why it is crucial to complete this form, otherwise we will not know that you are applyng to these institutionsyou and/or that you might qulaify for the agreements by the end of Spring (if you plan to take more courses).
Note, to qualify for an honors scholar status/transfer agreements you must:
- Maintain LPC GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Do not exceed 1 dropped Honors course record.
- Complete the community/global engagement service requirement (10 hours per year in the program).
- Complete a minimum of 5 Honors Courses (worth at least 15 units) with a grade of B or higher by the end of this Spring (with 4 courses at least by end of this Fall).
Additional requirements for UCLA: you will need to complete an additional UCLA TAP applicant form, which will only be provided to you if you complete this form - make sure you enter correct email, this is how you will get the UCLA TAP form in the beginning of Spring semester.
You also have to make sure at least 5 of your Honors Courses (wrorth 15 units at least) are UC TRANSFERABLE! The courses will not count for UCLA TAP if they can not transfer to UCLA.
