Rationale:
To provide guidelines for behaviour that maintains the highest standards of integrity in both personal and professional conduct that would be expected of a mature Christian.
Biblical Principles:
The Ten Commandments
Exodus 20
‘Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the Gospel of Christ.’
Philippians 1:27
‘So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do....put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires ... put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness....And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption....Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.’
Ephesians 4:17-32
‘Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God....Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind....Hate what is evil; cling to what is good...Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody ... Do not be overcome by evil,
but overcome evil with good.’
Romans 12:1-2, 9, 17, 21
