OHAA Research Assistance

Research around dental and oral health therapy practice is important to developing knowledge about our discipline and its practice. In principle, OHAA is supportive of such research and will endeavour to assist where possible while protecting members' interest.

OHAA wishes to support research that is well designed and supported by appropriate ethics approvals and privacy protections and to ensure that, on behalf of our members, OHAA supports research that is relevant and beneficial to the profession.

Before applying for research assistance please read the important information below:

- OHAA is unable to share its members contact details with external parties due to Privacy laws

- Members will be invited to participate by advertising the URL link provided in the OHAA fortnightly insider (automatically included in the next 2 editions).

- Following distribution, and upon request OHAA is able to provide advice to researchers about the number of recipients of the invitation to participate in the study, the date the invitation to participate was sent out.

- Upon request it is also possible for OHAA to resend the survey of issue reminders if required.

- OHAA requires that researchers provide a summary of the findings for publication in our journal so that the findings are shared with our profession.

Once your application has been reviewed - and if it's approved - researchers will be advised of any administrative fees and the survey shall be emailed to members.

If a mailout is requested, the researcher will be contacted to discuss the requirements and costs incurred.

Where fees are charged, researchers will need to supply invoice details such as who is to be invoiced, address and email address.
